Around the year 1960 was a group of experts - SECTION FOR LABORATORY ANIMALS - the Czechoslovak Scientific Society. Even then, the company collaborated with FELASA and had a clear picture of what the welfare of laboratory animals should be done. It was a time when the money was for the establishment of offices of the statutory bodies, but never money for proper equipment and laboratory space for experimental animals. The company has organized an annual international conference on laboratory animals, traditionally the Rough Rock and Live maintain international cooperation. Has always delivered a series of papers on the effects not only of genetic effects but also effects the external environment influences health, feed, litter on the development and results of animal experiments. In addition, organized regular training nurses and farmers, which also published their own textbooks.



 After 1989, this Panel wishes to join as full member to FELASA. It was necessary to create a separate company, which got its present name SVLZ for FELASA is called CLAS. That was in 1991. At this time also SVLZ a first law on protecting animals against cruelty, where he also proposed the establishment ÚKOZ. Although the Act was amended several times, but Part Five protection of experimental animals too large remained broadly unchanged since SVLZ has had enough and knowledgeable experts, including materials from FELASA and other international organizations active in the LZ. SVLZ meant to educate workers and laboratory test animals. Content courses in the Ordinance is also part č.207/2004 SVLZ not CCAW, on the recommendation FELASA.



 SVLZ or CLAS has a good representative of FELASA (Dr. Boubelík and Doc. Jebavý). SVLZ, as FELASA has established working groups. Currently working group on GM animals, the standardization of health, good veterinary care LZ, standardization and enrichment, education, identification of animals. Other working groups are formed according to current needs. SVLZ many members involved in the work of these groups. Thus conceived collaboration allows visiting livestock farms in other EU countries and the informal exchange of information.
